Connect Existing USB-A Peripherals to a USB-C Host

A USB-A keyboard, scanner, storage device or other peripheral can remain part of an equipment design when the host connection moves to USB-C. This adapter provides the connector arrangement needed for that connection, with a flat cable route between the host port and the peripheral socket.

The host must support the connected peripheral through its USB hardware and software. On compatible portable devices, host operation is sometimes described as OTG support. A USB-C port alone does not establish that the device can act as a host or run the intended peripheral.
