A straight-to-right-angle USB-C male cable with internal FPC, a molded outer body, up to 40Gbps data capability and up to 240W USB-C PD EPR power for compatible equipment.
Goochain manufactures 40Gbps 240W flat USB-C male-to-male cables using FPC inside an overmolded outer body. The listed configuration combines a straight USB-C male plug with a right-angle USB-C male plug, allowing the cable to connect compatible equipment while keeping one cable exit close to the device. The selected design supports data capability up to 40Gbps and USB-C PD EPR power up to 240W at 48V 5A when used with compatible source and sink equipment. For B2B and OEM projects, Goochain can customize cable length, molded body geometry, connector housing and installation route, then provide samples and production inspection to the approved specification.
A USB-C connection can fit electrically and still leave too little room beside the device. This Goochain cable pairs a straight plug with a 90-degree plug, allowing the cable to turn at one port and follow a flat route between the two devices. A fully molded exterior covers the internal flexible printed circuit (FPC).
With capability up to 40Gbps for data and 240W for USB-C PD power, it is an option for compact docks and mounted equipment where connector clearance, cable shape and electrical requirements need to be considered together.
The straight plug suits the end with room for a direct cable exit. The right-angle plug changes the exit direction at the other port, helping the cable follow the device housing. This layout is useful when a mounting plate, adjacent module or enclosure wall limits the space behind a straight plug.
The important detail is which way the angled end points once inserted. Its housing and cable exit need to clear the surrounding equipment so the flat body can follow its intended route without a forced twist.
Both ends are USB-C male plugs. For a layout that instead brings an internal port out to a female connection, the USB4 FPC Cable offers a different connector arrangement, with its own power specification.
The internal FPC provides the flat circuit structure, while the continuous overmold forms the exterior from the cable body into the connector transitions. This is the construction to consider when the installation calls for a covered cable surface.
For a route under a cover or alongside a bracket, the finished width, thickness and connector housings determine the space required. Measuring only the central flat section can miss the clearance needed at either end.

Data: 40Gbps is the supported link capability. File-transfer speed also depends on the host, connected device and storage performance.
Power: 240W requires a compatible USB-C PD Extended Power Range source and receiving device. The connection negotiates the supported power level; equipment rated below 240W operates within its own limits.
For an OEM assembly, Goochain can review the cable around the actual port positions and available space. The useful starting point is an installed-route drawing showing both connector orientations, the intended cable length and clearance at the angled end. The USB-C FPC Cable Selection for OEM Equipment guide covers the related choices of connector layout and cable construction.
The exit direction can be reviewed as part of a custom configuration. A photo or drawing of the device port and surrounding housing helps define the required orientation before the connector design is confirmed.
A suitable bend depends on the finished molded body and the intended route. The bend geometry should be confirmed for the selected configuration, especially near the connector transitions; a sharp fold should not be assumed to fit.
Include the host and display models, the required video protocol, resolution, refresh rate and color settings. A 40Gbps rating alone does not establish support for a particular display mode.
Keep required fields minimal. Attach drawings/photos for accurate quoting.
Tip: A simple installation photo often saves 2–3 rounds of questions.
Quotation 1–2 days; development 15–20 days; mass production 20–25 days (project dependent).
Yes. Reference sample + requirements helps confirm drawings and test plan.
Depends on materials and complexity. We support prototypes and scalable mass production.
