Custom flat USB-A plug to USB-C receptacle assembly for dedicated equipment integration.
Goochain supplies USB-A male to USB-C female FPC adapter cables for dedicated equipment integration. The flat flexible circuit allows the USB-C receptacle to sit away from the USB-A plug and follow the available route around brackets or covers. Cable length, connector positions and receptacle support can be customized. Each assembly is developed around the intended source, downstream USB-C cable and connected device.
Goochain manufactures USB-A male to USB-C female FPC adapter cables for dedicated equipment integration. A flat flexible printed circuit connects the USB-A plug to a USB-C receptacle, allowing the socket to sit where the enclosure needs it. The connector positions, FPC route and electrical functions are developed around the intended source, mating cable and connected device.

This assembly can suit equipment that retains an internal USB-A connection while placing a USB-C socket at a separate, accessible location. The flexible body allows the two ends to follow a defined installation route where a rigid adapter would place the socket too close to the original port or conflict with a cover or bracket.
The USB-C receptacle needs mechanical support at its mounting position. The enclosure or bracket should carry plug insertion and removal forces instead of transferring them into the FPC termination. Include the socket opening, connector housing and clearance for the mating plug when defining the installation.
Goochain can review the distance between the ends, socket orientation and FPC outline against your drawing. The mounting arrangement is part of the project specification; any bracket or panel hardware should be agreed separately.
A USB-C receptacle changes the physical connection point; it does not add capabilities that the USB-A source lacks. This adapter should be specified for a known host, downstream cable and device. Data rate, charging requirements and power direction are agreed for that configuration rather than inferred from the connector shape.
The USB-C socket does not make the assembly a USB4 connection, a display adapter or a USB-C Power Delivery source. If the application requires particular data and power functions, provide those requirements together with the source and device details for engineering review.
Evaluate the sample with the mating cable that will be supplied or specified with the finished equipment. Confirm the required functions and mechanical fit across the intended connection arrangement before approving the production version.
As a custom FPC cable manufacturer and supplier, Goochain supports design review, samples and production assembly for this connector combination. Our factory can develop the FPC geometry, connector arrangement and assembly requirements around your equipment layout.
For OEM sourcing, the approved drawing and functional specification define the version supplied. Agree the connector support, electrical requirements and inspection criteria during sample evaluation so the production assembly matches the intended installation.
To review a custom configuration, please provide:
Send your adapter requirements to Goochain for a project review and quotation. If the layout calls for a different connector combination, browse our FPC cable assemblies to compare available structures.
No. The adapter does not upgrade the USB-A controller. Data functions depend on the host, adapter configuration, mating cable and connected device.
The downstream cable is part of the connection design. Provide its connector combination, length and electrical requirements so the assembly can be evaluated with the intended host and device.
Yes. The FPC route, connector spacing and receptacle orientation can be customized to the installation drawing, including the space needed to support and access the USB-C socket.
Yes, subject to the agreed mechanical design. The opening, mating-plug clearance and receptacle support must be checked together. Brackets or panel hardware are specified separately for the project.
The USB-C socket alone does not provide either function. This assembly does not add USB-C PD or native USB-C display capabilities to the USB-A source. Specify the actual data and power functions required for the equipment.
Yes. Goochain supports design review, sample evaluation and production assembly. The approved drawing, functional requirements and inspection criteria identify the configuration supplied.
Keep required fields minimal. Attach drawings/photos for accurate quoting.
Tip: A simple installation photo often saves 2–3 rounds of questions.
Quotation 1–2 days; development 15–20 days; mass production 20–25 days (project dependent).
Yes. Reference sample + requirements helps confirm drawings and test plan.
Depends on materials and complexity. We support prototypes and scalable mass production.
