Goochain manufactures USB-C female to female FPC cable assemblies for equipment with two defined receptacle positions. The flexible circuit follows a custom route between the sockets, allowing their spacing and orientation to suit the housing or bracket. Both ends are supported by the equipment structure. Each assembly is developed around the specified mating cables, host and device roles, and required functions.
Goochain supplies custom USB-C male to female FPC extension cables for port relocation in enclosed equipment. The male plug connects to an internal USB-C port, while the female receptacle brings the connection to a more accessible position. An insulated flexible printed circuit without a full outer overmold allows the cable route and receptacle location to be developed around the housing.

In a dock, control unit or embedded computer, the board connector may sit behind the enclosure opening. This extension lets the enclosure designer position an accessible USB-C socket while retaining a plug-in connection to the internal board. The FPC outline and end positions can be matched to the available space around covers, brackets and adjacent components.
The female receptacle needs support from the equipment structure so that inserting or removing an external cable does not pull directly on the FPC. The route should also leave access for assembly and room for the connector transitions. Without a full outer overmold, the circuit still retains the insulating layers required by its design.

The extension, downstream cable and their mating interfaces all form part of the signal and power path. Required functions should therefore be defined with the intended host and peripheral, including the downstream cable type and length. A result from one connection arrangement should not be assumed to apply to a different cable or device combination.
Data transfer, charging power and video support are separate requirements. A USB-C female connector alone does not establish the available data rate, power rating or display capability. For video applications, provide the host, display interface and required display mode so the selected assembly can be evaluated for that use.
