A device-specific cable assembly combining a PoweredUSB connection, DB9 interface and RJ12 branch. The role of each connector is defined by the equipment wiring scheme.
This custom branch assembly combines a PoweredUSB interface, DB9 connector and RJ12 6P6C interface for a specified POS system. The connector genders, voltage, cable branches and contact assignments follow the actual equipment drawing. A passive cable does not perform USB-to-RS232 protocol conversion unless electronics are explicitly designed and validated.
This custom POS cable assembly brings PoweredUSB, DB9 and RJ12 interfaces into one specified branch layout. It is built around the equipment circuit map, not a generic assumption that the connectors exchange protocols.
A mixed-interface assembly can combine a power route with a separate equipment signal connection. The drawing should identify which device connects to each end and what each contact carries. A simple block diagram is useful before detailed wire mapping begins.
A DB9 connector does not prove that USB is converted to RS232 inside the cable. Some assemblies route an existing serial connection while taking power from another port. If active conversion is required, the circuit, driver and electrical interface must be specified as part of the product.
Goochain provides OEM and ODM engineering support for branch routing, connector selection and sample development in mixed-interface powered USB assemblies. Production takes place at our 5,000 m² Dongguan facility. The PoweredUSB product range also covers simpler connections when the equipment does not need a hybrid harness.
Provide a connection diagram showing the role of each PoweredUSB, DB9 and RJ12 branch. Identify any active conversion circuit separately from the cable wiring.
Keep required fields minimal. Attach drawings/photos for accurate quoting.
Tip: A simple installation photo often saves 2–3 rounds of questions.
Quotation 1–2 days; development 15–20 days; mass production 20–25 days (project dependent).
Yes. Reference sample + requirements helps confirm drawings and test plan.
Depends on materials and complexity. We support prototypes and scalable mass production.
